Camp Jupiter

Basic Information
LOCATION: Oakland Hills, San Francisco, California, USA

Camp Jupiter is a summer camp designated to house, protect, and train the children of Roman gods and their descendants. It is the Roman counterpart to Camp Half-Blood.

It has a complex societal structure that involves two elected leaders called praetors as well as cohorts which are where campers are divided and placed into. The cohorts are led by a Centurion which is similar to the Head Counsellors at Camp Half-Blood. There are also other roles which include Senators, Probatio, Legionnaires, Messengers, Medics, Veterans, and Pontifex Maximus.

There are a variety of locations throughout Camp Jupiter including the Field of Mars which is where the campers have their War Games; New Rome which is a city-like area where retired legionnaires are able to live, go to college, and start a life there; Temple Hill where all of the temples for the Roman gods are located; the Garden of Bacchus; and the Principia which is where the praetors are headquartered.

There are a number of activities available at Camp Jupiter including War Games, coliseum training, Great Roman Inventions which is a theoretical class where they learn about the various inventions attributed to Rome, deathball, and more.
