So now that you've arrived at camp (What I'm assuming by this point you have) what do you do?
There are a multitude of different things that you can do in Camp, as we previously discussed and I'm sure that you will fill your timetable with endless fun to fill your time at camp.
But what else can you do? Besides all the fun activities and classes that you can take a camp you will also be able to spend time with many wonderful new friends and family and friends who become family.
Part of being a member of Camp Half Blood doesn't only mean that you get to be a camper who is trained in many skills in order to equip them the monsters out there but we also get to form bonds and friendships with many people that will lost a lifetime. Camp is not simply a place of learning about what we are able to do with our abilities but rather how we can use our abilities to be the world around us.
We can use them on only to protect ourselves in others but also to build others up and we can use them to make this world that we live in a better place. The DNA that courses through our veins may seem like both of blessing and a curse, but I personally am proud to be a demigod. I am proud to be a daughter of Zeus. I'm proud to be a camper at Camp half blood.
When I arrived here I barely had any family and now I have an entire Camp full. Being a demigod doesn't mean having all these responsibilities that burden you. Yes it may seem like part of the challenge.... part of the problem.... part of the role that you feel that you have been given to play (even that you didn't wish it upon yourself).
Being a demi god means that you have a responsibility to make this world so much more than it is.
Our parents may think that they run the universe, but we can make a change. We are not defined by our parents. The DNA in our veins simply gives us a responsibility furthermore and over and above that that mortals already have.
I have made many wonderful memories here at camp going on Mini Amazing Adventures and learn something new each and every day. I do my best to make a difference and impact here and to leave my mark on the world. Kindness is free, friends and family are the most important thing in this world, being a demigod, being responsible for the chaos that our parents cause in the universe, makes it all that more important.
We are called to protect and to serve and to make this world a safer place and I am so grateful to be a part of a place that trains me how to do that and surrounds me with people that help me do so. Don't be afraid of this legacy that you have been given.
Embrace it.
You are you are brave.
You are a demigod.
If you suspect that you are one of us, I highly encourage you to believe in the impossible for a moment. Even if you have previously choosen to visit camp Half-blood by page, enjoyed it on screen, or even dismissed it as merely a myth.... we know the truth.
