This is Magical Mythology
with Ebony Hance
Hello there and welcome to "Magical Mythology".
Your one stop blog with all the necessary facts, quizzes and lore you need, to scratch that Percy Jackson itch! If you love Percy Jackson and are passionate about Greek mythology, you've come to the right place!

As I have already established in previous letters and as i'm sure that you are aware, you can never quite be properly prepared for finding out that you're a demigod. A mortal by the name of Maya Angelou once said and i quote, "There is no greater agony than bearing an untold story inside you." Now I'm don't know about you, but for me personally, I find this to be entirely true. In truth, ee are all storytellers in some way. We make our own decisions, forge out own adventures, make friendships and even face our own battles, writing our own stories as we go along. Sure the path isn't always easy and it is DEFINITELY NOT always a fairytale.

There are monsters to face. Lots of them. Not only Chimeras and furies and hell hounds and the likes, but the other kind of monsters too. The ones that whisper things to you in your mind that make you doubt yourself. Things like "You have too much baggage..." Or "People dont actually like you."

The ones that try to convince you that you don't belong here...but here's the thing. We are demi-gods. We were built to fight battles. Even when life may seem to be overwhelming and we don't know if we can do it alone, we stand up and fight them together. AND we defeat them.Friends, fellow campers, mentors and family. Always by our side waiting to fight our battles with us.

We are the authors of our own stories. I mean sure there are plot twists, but doesn't every good story have them? Nothing is set in stone. Fate is only fate when you decide to let that be how you choose to end a chapter. You are the writer. You hold the pen. What kind of story are you making for yourself? I can't speak for you all but I can tell you about mine.

My story is about a girl who felt incredibly lost in the world until she found herself. It is a story about loss, hope and perseverance. About friendship and family. A story about a girl who discovers that she is a demigod and that her father is the king of the skies. A girl who fights monsters, both physical and invisible and is discovering who she is every day. It is a comedy for there is laughter. A drama. A thriller and maybe there might even be some romance in the future hopefully. BUT above all, it is pure magic and it is mine and I get to write a new page of it every day.

What is your story about?

What will you get to experience in the next chapter of it?

And so with that arm yourself with your pen dear author. Write yourself a legacy.

On that note, if you suspect that you are one of us, I highly encourage you to make your way to camp. We here at Camp Half-Blood will be waiting with open arms.

Looking forward to seeing you all at camp! Safe travels and may the gods guide your path.

See you at camp,
Ebony Mae Hance.
